Welcome to Tarhala - ترحالة ("Tarhala", "we", "our", "ترحالة", or "us"). Tarhala is a tourism and discovery application that helps users discover restaurants, cafés, hotels, resorts, natural attractions, cultural sites, entertainment venues, and other places and experiences in Iraq.

When you create an account, Tarhala collects your mobile phone number. Your phone number is used to create and authenticate your account and to verify your identity through the account verification process.

Your location is used only to request nearby places and location-based results from our API. Your device location is not stored as part of your account and is not retained by Tarhala after the request.

3. Favorites and Likes

Tarhala allows users to save places as favorites and interact with places using likes.

Your favorites and likes are associated with your account and are private. Other Tarhala users cannot see which places you have liked or saved as favorites.

4. Comments, Reviews, and Rewards

Tarhala currently does not provide user comments, reviews, ratings, points, or rewards associated with user accounts.

5. Push Notifications

Tarhala may use push notifications to provide general information to users, such as application announcements, general offers, updates, or other information related to the service.

Notifications are currently general notifications and are not personalized based on your name, phone number, location, favorites, or likes.

Push notifications are delivered using Firebase Cloud Messaging and may be managed or disabled through your device settings.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only for purposes necessary to provide and operate Tarhala, including:

• Creating and managing your account.
• Verifying your phone number.
• Providing account-related functionality.
• Providing location-based discovery features.
• Managing your private favorites and likes.

We do not use your name or phone number for advertising, promotional campaigns, or marketing purposes.

Location information used for nearby discovery is not stored as part of your account.

When you delete your account, the personal information associated with your account is deleted. We do not maintain a backup copy of your deleted account data.

You can delete your Tarhala account directly from within the application.

When you delete your account, the account information and data associated with your account, including your name, phone number, favorites, and likes, are deleted from our systems.

We do not retain a backup copy of your deleted account data.
